Luxe Suites And Tech Factor Are New Additions To Disney World | New York Post

Audition for HOLIDAYS AROUND THE WORLD at Walt Disney World in Kissimmee on 07/18

) As always, the familys rough luck dogs them until they are the unlikely recipients of a significant room upgrade. Instead of being crammed into a regular Disney hotel room (garden view), the working-class Hecks get to luxuriate in a suite made for a king with three bedrooms, four bathrooms, TVs in all rooms (including embedded in the bathroom mirrors), a living room, a media room and a full kitchen with high-end appliances and granite countertops. This, however, is not the realm of the writers imaginations. Its the newest suite at the resorts premier Grand Floridian hotel, and its available to anyone who wants to cough up the $2,400-a-night rate. Disneys latest (and most luxurious) suite inside the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa costs up to $2,400 a night!Photo: Kent Phillips/Disney The suites, which sleep 12 (so opportunities abound to split the bill), are part of the Disney Vacation Club timeshare properties and range in size from studio suites to capacious luxury villas. What many people dont realize is that you dont have to be one of the timeshare owners to enjoy them unused properties go into the reservation system for guests to book at rack rates through all the usual travel sites. Visitors to Disney World this summer will also be able to enjoy the new, ticketless, technology-based experience at the parks. The technology is called MyMagic+ a Web site, mobile app and wristband combo that will shape and, its hoped, streamline your theme-park vacation. The MyMagic+ experience begins even before departure at MyDisneyExperience.com.

at 2:30 p.m. The magical moment was the result of Sullivan's ambition to cultivate his students for greater pursuits as well as show them confidence in their abilities. It was also a result of laborious communication with Disney, to whom Sullivan initially sent an application in September of 2012 and subsequently followed through with other requirements like photos and a performance DVD. "When all is said and done, our students may not remember the big Math exam or the day they took the ACT or even a Friday night football game in October," says Sullivan, "but they will remember marching down Main Street in the Magic Kingdom playing Hail to the Varsity (our fight song) in front of 30,000 people. "I told the band that they probably would be back at another point in their lives, but it will never be this time with these people, together, again. The marching band is a close group. The fellowship of playing, performing and sharing in the process of making music in motion is what makes that bond so strong." Brooklyn's Hurricane Marching Band Courtesy of Sean Sullivan The high school students began payments in February 2013 to cover the trip's expenses of travel, food, lodging, and fun. Sixteen months later, their investment of hard work, hours of practice, main page and finances was realized when they boarded the two private buses at Brooklyn High School on Friday, June 6. Packed to the hilt with instruments, uniforms, luggage, students, chaperones, and loads of excitement, the busses pulled out of Brooklyn at 8:00 p.m.
